Welcome to our new homepage! My name is Susan Wright and I am the new Honey Guy Skin Cream product representative. I fell in love with this product line while attending a quilting retreat sponsored by a wonderful quilt store in Hawkins, Texas. I purchased a jar of the WaterBlockerTM Skin Cream because coming from Colorado, my hands are always dry and cracking and I wanted to try this new skin cream made from beeswax. Well, I fell in love with it on the spot and went back the next day to purchase another jar. When I got home to Colorado, I called Don and Ardy Johnson, the founders of Honey Guy Products, Inc and asked to join their team. I learned a lot about making these wonderful products and I would like to share that with you all.
In frontier days beekeepers used beeswax for a myriad of purposes including making an effective skin cream. Working in his basement, Don Johnson experimented with age-old methods of making beeswax cream. The basic steps were simple but there are literally an infinite number of variations!
Wanting a cream that was enjoyable to feel (silky smooth), healthful to wear and natural, Don settled on a light weight version of beeswax cream with enough beeswax to produce the desired effects on the skin but not too heavy that it would not absorb readily. The light weight version is silky smooth, absorbs quickly, and seals the skin from water and any other exterior antagonist. It helps to moisturize the skin and promote healing of rough, dry skin - hands, heels, face, etc. It lasts much longer when exposed to water than regular skin creams because it is not water soluble- - one application is usually enough for all day!!. It protects the skin and lips from chapping and cracking in cold and wet winter conditions. As a bonus it has the ability to relieve the discomfort of most irritated skin conditions - mosquito bites, fire ant bites, eczema, psoriasis, hives, poison ivy, oak and sumac, even bee stings!
Honey Guy has shipped many products - Waterblocker™ Skin Cream in particular - all over the USA and to many different countries including England, Ecuador, Ireland, Spain and Mexico. The product line expanded to include Bite Free Skin Cream, Bite Free Repellent Spray, Beeswax Bandage, scented and unscented Beeswax Lip Balms, old-time Beeswax Furniture Polish and bars of pure beeswax. We even have a "Travel Kit" that includes all three creams and a lip balm. But Waterblocker™ Skin Cream remains the king-pin of our products.
